PROLOGUE:
a teacher enters the mouth of a steep cave on a line of rope three hundred feet in length. He descends and his nostrils hit the smell of rotting animals. He lands in the dark, feet first, into the decomposing belly of a cow. His teacher friends yell down at him from the top of the pit and tell him that the farmer nearby throws all of his animal friends to the bottom of that place once they pass on. He attempts to climb back up again.
